Joshua Putter named Chief Operating Officer at Steward Health Care System

Boston, MA – September 28, 2011 – Today, Steward Health Care System, LLC
(Steward) announced that Joshua Putter has been named Chief Operating
Officer for the system.
“Josh is a talented hospital executive with 22 years of experience,”
said Ralph de la Torre, MD, CEO of Steward. “Josh will help take Steward
to the next level as we grow and add more hospitals to our system.
His knowledge of other markets and national perspective will be
assets to us as we expand beyond Massachusetts and New England.”
Putter joins Steward from Health Management Associates (HMA) where he
was President of a division responsible for running 13 hospitals in
Florida. The division Putter oversaw totaled 2,100 beds, 94,000
admissions and net revenue of more than $1.0 billion. Putter is a
graduate of Texas A&M University and holds an MBA/MHA from the
University of Houston – Clear Lake.
