"Successful Opioid Management": a free dinner lecture for health care professionals

This is a free dinner lecture for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, and other health care providers.

Presenters will include Christopher Stowe, MD, pain management specialist with the Steward Centers for Pain Management; Kristine Walker, MS, RN, NE-BC, executive director, Pain Management Services, Saint Anne’s Hospital, Holy Family, and Norwood Hospital; and Brittany M. Lynch, BSW, health promotion advocate with Project ASSERT (Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services, Education, and Referral to Treatment).

Presented by the Community Health Department of Saint Anne’s Hospital in collaboration with the City of Fall River, the program will include discussions about chronic pain, use of opioids, management of patients on long-term pain medication, and resources for opioid prescribers.

Continuing education credit will be awarded to physicians (qualifies for risk management), pharmacists, nurses, and social workers.
