Beginning April 3, 2014, Nashoba Valley Medical Center will begin offering Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, a three-session workshop on developing stress management skills that lead to a healthier lifestyle and long-term success.
This evening program will introduce you to the highly successful program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center for the treatment of stress-related disorders.
The seminar will be facilitated by Kathy Benson, LICSW, a clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with children, adults and families as a psychotherapist and emergency service clinician.
Benson, who is currently the clinical social worker at Nashoba Valley Medical Center, has completed teacher training at the UMMC Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program along with multiple trainings at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.
The program will be held on consecutive Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 3, 10 and 17. The cost of the three-session program is $65.
