Orthopedic Surgeons Barry Bickley, MD and Eric Arvidson, MD will talk about MAKOPlasty, a minimally invasive technique for hip and knee replacement, during a Meet the Expert seminar at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
During the August 26 presentation, Dr. Bickley and Dr. Arvidson will explain how osteoarthritis affects hip and knee joints; identify conservative and surgical approaches to treating hip and knee pain; demonstrate how new minimally invasive approaches assist in maintaining natural joint motion; and explain the advantages of navigation and computer assistive procedures.
The seminar will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in Holy Family Hospital’s ground floor auditorium. Free and open to the public. Registration is required. Light refreshments will be served. One contact hour in nursing will be awarded at the end of the presentation.
