St. Elizabeth's Medical Center's Comprehensive Addiction Program (SECAP) is Boston’s oldest hospital-based program for the treatment of alcohol and drug addiction. In an effort to meet community concerns about the increase in substance abuse problems, SECAP was founded in 1976.
SECAP cares for individuals who are addicted to alcohol or drugs, including heroin and other opiates, and provides emergency department screening, inpatient monitoring immediate access to medical specialists including psychiatry, infectious disease, gastroenterology, pain management and intensivists as well as spiritual care.
At SECAP, our alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs offer inpatient and outpatient services guided by a team of highly qualified professionals associated with Steward Health Care. Patients can expect to receive high quality care in a safe, confidential environment.
SECAP’s admissions experts are available 24 hours a day to talk with potential patients and asses their immediate needs. Call 617-789-2574 for help.
