Most insurance plans pay for a sleep study. In some cases, a deductible or co-payment is required. Some plans also require a physician referral for coverage. A Center for Sleep Medicine representative can answer any questions you may have about insurance coverage. Also, if you are not covered or will incur a significant expense, we will call you directly to discuss your options.
Individuals should consult with their primary care physician to inquire if a referral to a sleep specialist is appropriate.
Once you have obtained a referral, our Center for Sleep Medicine team will work closely with your primary care doctor during your treatment.
Our sleep intake specialists will assist you in making an appointment that is convenient for you. We also will take care of processing your insurance and providing pertinent details about what to expect during the sleep test. An informational packet will then be mailed to your house with answers to common questions, along with a questionnaire.
